The Cultural School Bag - DKS
Carte Blanche birngs contemporary dance to thousands of pupils in the schools.
With support from DKS - The Curlural School Bag's public fundings Carte Blanche has developed an educational programme around the choregographer Hofesh Shechter's performance Uprising. The aim of the programme is to introduse contemporary dance to youngsters through an interactive meeting with the pupils before and after each performance.
Carte Blanche has together with dance pedagogue Mona Rinde Viland developed a concept for use in secondary schools(10th grade - 15 - 16 year olds) that gives the pupisl both physical and mental challenges prior to seeing the performance. Immediately after each performache there is an after talk with the pupils and the dancers, monitored by Carte Blanche. Here, the pupils ask questions to the dancers and are given answers to other issues around contemporary dance and also share their experience and impressions. The responses from the teachers and pupils have been only positive!
On request Carte Blanche is open for schools that are interested in experienceing contemporary dance. Please contact Inga Moen Danielsen.
